The Show Report, 6/6: Rock it darkly

Tonight continues the debut weekend of the long-awaited semi-local rock group Matthew Darkly, a collaborative project between Rugs singer Matt Dampier and guitarist Eric Schuchmann. Also on the bill are Pilot Whale and The First Teenager Ever, all at Lindberg’s. You’ve been hearing the singles and EPs at the Moodring Records website for some time now; if you misssed the group’s first-ever show at Patton Alley Pub, now is your second chance.

Also playing tonight:

* Josh Heinrichs and Cas Haley at The Outland Ballroom. Haley’s return to Springfield was a big success back in March, so look for a full show this time too.

* AC/DC tribute band Dirty Deeds and Levee at Nathan P. Murphy’s

* Bottlefish and Tokyo Sauna at The Outland

* Jalopy and The Orange Stone at Patton Alley Pub

* Jam Room at The High Life Live Martini Lounge

* Sounds On the Square on Park Central Square, with music by BringYourGreenHat at 7 p.m., Jah Kings at 8 p.m. and Alexander Kofi at 9 p.m.
