Though you won’t find the band’s name on the 2009 Cornerstone Music Festival band listing, Geno Valloni, drummer for Springfield-based power-pop group Storyline tells us the quintet is set to perform at the well-known Christian-rock festival July 3 and 4.
Cornerstone, which takes place every year on Cornerstone Farm near Bushnell, Illinois, is the largest Christian-rock festival in America, hosting almost 300 acts on its major stages this year. Valloni says the band is currently slated to play on the smaller generator and tent stages at the moment, though it sounds like there may be more in the works. Event if there isn’t, playing in front of that many people (more than 20,000 each year) is a big step in the right direction for the band.
On a related note, check out the preponderance of acts on the official Cornerstone bill that have passed through Springfield, even just since this time last year. Is Springfield Cornerstone West or what?!
