ATTENTION BANDS: Two openings remain for Sounds on the Square

by

The Urban Districts Alliance’s annual Sounds on the Square concert series begins on Park Central Square on Friday, June 5, and if you want to add a band to the lineup of City-promoted outdoor evening shows, opportunities are running out. Check out the remaining spots after the break.

The series, running every Friday and Saturday evening during the months of June and July, has openings for Friday, July 10 at 5 p.m. and Saturday, July 25 at 7 p.m. Set lengths would be about 45 minutes in order to accommodate setup time for the next act. Shows are unpaid, but are promoted by the City of Springfield and Urban Districts Alliance and merchandise sales are allowed.

I would be interested in Nocturnal Nation being considered for either of the spots on July 10th or July 25th. I tried your email link but it did not work, it came up with an error message.
Please feel free to call me at 417-830-9881 or email mbflood@yahoo.com for more information.
Thank you for considering Nocturnal Nation for this event.

Melanie, thanks to you and to everyone who emailed (I later just put the email address directly on the post) about the remaining openings. I forwarded everyone’s info, as well as MySpace pages to give a listen, to the UDA for consideration, and they got back to me later in the afternoon with their choices. Those bands have already been contacted, and the spots are filled; however, if there are any late cancelations those who weren’t contacted about a spot are on the list of possible alternates. Thanks for the interest and help!
