We’d begun to wonder what happened to Patton Alley Pub’s plan to bring nationally touring acts through the lovable Patton Avenue bar. They seemed to be on to something after bringing Split Lip Rayfield to Springfield, then after one more national Patton Alley seemed to concentrate on the local–props for that–while the national-act agenda went low-pro.
Well, perhaps it has awakened. Today comes word that Patton Alley Pub, in cooperation with High Strung Music, is bringing bluegrass phenom The Infamous Stringdusters to the bar June 12. The group is enjoying a meteoric rise to prominence, with its debut album, Fork in the Road, named Album of the Year by the International Bluegrass Association. The title track also won Song of the Year and The Infamous Stringdusters won Best Emerging Artist. The group’s self-titled follow-up was released last June.
Tickets are $10 for reserved seating and $7 for general admission, all available in advance at High Strung Music. Call 417-866-1150 for more information or to purchase.
