Rock out to say “thanks”

by

meisa-hometown-heroesIt’s been a little while–December 4, in fact–since the Music and Entertainment Industry Student Association (MEISA) at Missouri State University last put on a concert. The December event was held for charity, but one could argue its latest show is no less a benefit. Tomorrow night’s Hometown Heroes show at Nathan P. Murphy’s is a special event in honor of Springfield’s military and emergency response groups–anyone who shows military, police, fire or medic ID gets a $2 discount to get it–and includes some musical heroes from MEISA members’ various hometowns: Tulsa, OK (Arlis Moon), Springfield, MO (Cooter Brown), Blue Springs, MO (Grizzly J. Berry) and St. Louis, MO (All Falls Down). Cover charge is $5 for regular admission, $9 for those younger than 21 and $3 for military, police, fire and medical staffers with ID.
