1. The Secret is playing its first show together in about two years.
2. The Murlesque is playing its last show with its current lineup, and probably its last show ever.
We’ll fill in the rest after the break.
The show lineup will be The Secret, The Murlesque and Glass Bottom Boat Ride at The Blue Room at Billiards of Springfield on April 24. Cover charge and door time aren’t published yet.
The Secret will apparently come to the show armed with a bunch of new material it has been working on since the middle of last year. Two of those tracks, “Easy Does It” and an untitled tune, are already posted on the band’s MySpace page. There’s talk of releasing a full-length album this year, too, although no firm date is set at this time.
Meanwhile, Murlesque drummer Nate Doran is moving to California in a few weeks, as well, making this the last Murlesque show. In reality, it’s an impromptu get-back-together, since the band officially disbanded in January after repeated attempts to replace departing band members.
As for Glass Bottom Boat Ride, it’s the band’s last scheduled show before its DVD recording show at The Outland Ballroom on May 8. In all, a pretty loaded night, don’t you think?
