Local reggae faves, The Seed (previously known as Lance Sitton and The Seed) have just signed with local record label Lemon Drop Records. Lemon Drop is home to locals such as The Verbs [Redux], The Spacetones and more. We’ve got the info on their two upcoming albums, cd release shows and more after the jump…
The band’s formal announcement from their Myspace blog:
The Seed is happy to announce they have signed a one record deal with Lemon Drop Records. With these new revelations comes changes in plans. Big Outside, The Seeds first studio album will be released as planned on April 3rd.
Homemade Dub: A recipe for disaster, will now no longer be, homemade. The new title will be naturally just…A Recipe for Disaster. Our current projected release date of July 31st will now change to sometime towards the end of the year. Big Outside sounds bigger than shit anyway so we should probably sit on that album for a while, huh?
See you Friday, April 3rd at the Outland Ballroom for the cd release party!!!!!
This is all a very recent development since the group joined us on our awesomely awesome local radio show on 106.7, Rock Talk, on January 25 (Listen in here). Guests on that show also include Speakeasy, My31 TV, High Strung Music and The Rugs. But this is a ton of great news for a bunch of hardworking guys. Congrats guys and we’ll see you on April 3rd.
