A Punk Rock Wednesday you can’t afford to miss

As we’ve said before, the holidays mean reunion time, and tonight is another one you can add to the list: The Dishwashers, former Adrenals bassist Christine Gaisser’s original band, reforms for a one-night-only show at that burgeoning Outland institution, Punk Rock Wednesday. The other punk acts on the bill include The Witz and the surf-rock-meets-horror-movie sounds of The Boogeymen.

Meanwhile, as John Cleese used to say, now for something completely different: The fourth act on the Punk Rock Wednesday lineup is none other than Pilot Whale (performing with a full backing band!), the electro-dance alter ego of Sweetwater Abilene architect J.R. Top and the force behind “Work Related Christmas Party,” already in the pantheon of great local-music holiday songs. Drop in early and be ready for a surprise. (We won’t spoil it.)
