With Super String Theory fully back from its sabbatical (i.e. not playing shows), it’s time to take things up a notch. Guitarist Aaron Roten and company have cooked up an exciting plan to do just that: a concert DVD, shot live over three consecutive nights at Nathan P. Murphy’s. (So imagine a professionally shot version of what you see above, with good audio quality.) This means several things for you, the concertgoer:
1. You can be in the DVD, giving you the chance to be forever preserved in the moment along with the city’s premier prog-rock band. (Note: Dress nice. Don’t wear that thing you wore last time. We’re just sayin’.)
2. You can catch Super String Theory in concert three nights in a row: tonight, tomorrow and Saturday. Has that ever happened before? We’re betting on no. (Note: Dress nice all three nights if you go. I mean, this is time-capsule stuff, for God’s sake. No slouching. If you really want to be hardcore about it, wear the same nice outfit all three nights and try to get the same table. You know, for continuity’s sake.)
3. It’s time to go shopping for a nice outfit/more nice outfits. You can never look too good at a time like this.
Doors open at 8 p.m. Call 417-863-1909 for prices and ticket availability.
