We’re not talking about the actual museum on I-44, we’re talking about one of Springfield’s own. Jesse James Wax Museum is playing a gig next week. Here’s the cool thing, they’re bustin’ out the recorder then giving you the recording for free!
From their latest Myspace bulletin:
For better sound quality/compression/reverb etc., we’re running (our part of) the show through this 16-track recorder.
I don’t really see why I couldn’t hit record at the beginning of the set. Point being, we’re going to have a live recording of this show.
It would be stupid to charge money for that, so, if you come to this show, just give us your e-mail address. And I’ll e-mail you a copy as soon as I mix it.
Randy Bacon Gallery. September 7. Love you.
So yeah, they’re going to record the show (or at least a portion of it). Then all you have to do is give them your email and they’ll give you the tracks FOR FREE! That is one hell of an idea. And the first I’ve heard of in the area. Kudos. We’ll be there.
