Click on the funny-colored words.We’ve waited quite some time for the Black Diamond Heavies to return to Springfield, and they’re finally back at the Outland tonight starting at 10 p.m. (Doors are at 9.) We would say we’ve never see any group rock as well on a Monday as the Heavies did that lonely night almost two (or is it three?!) years ago, but that was as a three-piece band. The Heavies’ then-singer and slide guitarist, Mark “Porkchop” Holder, has since gone on to do solo work. So how will the band sound live as a two-piece? We’re skeptical–Porkchop brought enormous slide riffs and a distinctive voice to the band’s original sound–but we can’t wait to find out for ourselves. Regardless, this promises to be a balls-out rockin’ blues show. What else could you want to get you through to Wednesday?
